What is OmiseGo?
OmiseGo (OMG) is a platform that seeks to become an innovative alternative for payments and build a decentralized exchange built on the Ethereum blockchain. The stated goal of the project is to build the required infrastructure in order to provide better financial services to the world. The initiative has gained the support of Ethereum's co-founders, Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood. The founders of the project are Jun Hasegawa and Donnie Harinsut which were already known for their company Omise which was founded in, prior to OmiseGo. Of note is also the fact that the designer of the project is Joseph Poon, who is also known for being the creator of the Lighting Network. OmniseGo's wallet SDK is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2018.
